Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines

Authors submitting manuscripts to the Genius Thinking International Multidisciplinary Research Journal (GTIMRJ) are requested to carefully follow these guidelines before submission.

1. Originality and Scope
Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal. The submission must fall within the multidisciplinary scope of GTIMRJ and make a clear scholarly contribution.

2. Language
Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English. Authors are responsible for ensuring appropriate grammar, clarity, and academic presentation before submission.

3. Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts should preferably be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. The text should be prepared in a clear and consistent academic format with appropriate headings and subheadings.

4. Title Page and Anonymous Manuscript
GTIMRJ follows a double-blind peer-review process. Authors should therefore upload:

  • a separate Title Page containing the article title, full names of all authors, affiliations, corresponding author details, email addresses, and ORCID iDs where available; and
  • an anonymised manuscript containing no author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, or other information that may reveal the identity of the authors.

Authors should also remove identifying information from file properties and metadata wherever possible.

5. Abstract and Keywords
Manuscripts requiring an abstract should include a clear and informative abstract normally not exceeding the limit specified for the relevant journal section. Authors should provide approximately 4–6 relevant keywords.

6. Manuscript Structure
Depending on the type of submission, manuscripts should normally include appropriate sections such as Introduction, Review of Literature, Objectives or Research Questions, Methodology, Results/Findings, Discussion, Conclusion, Implications, Limitations, and References.

Review, conceptual, theoretical, case-based, and other manuscript types may use a structure appropriate to their scholarly purpose.

7. References and Citations
Authors must ensure that all sources cited in the text are included in the reference list and that all references listed are cited in the manuscript. References should be accurate, complete, and consistently formatted. Where applicable, DOI links should be provided.

Authors should normally follow APA style (7th edition) unless disciplinary conventions make another recognised scholarly referencing style more appropriate and prior editorial approval has been obtained.

8. Tables and Figures
Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively, clearly titled, and referred to in the manuscript text. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material from third-party sources.

9. Research Ethics
Research involving human participants, confidential information, clinical material, or other ethically sensitive data must comply with applicable institutional and professional ethical standards. Where appropriate, authors should provide details of ethical approval and informed consent.

10. Authorship
All listed authors must have made a meaningful scholarly contribution to the work and must approve the submitted and final versions of the manuscript. Individuals who do not meet appropriate authorship criteria should not be listed as authors.

11. Conflict of Interest and Funding
Authors must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest that could reasonably be perceived to influence the research. Sources of research funding should also be disclosed.

12. Plagiarism and Research Integrity
Manuscripts must represent the authors' own scholarly work. Plagiarism, fabricated or falsified data, citation manipulation, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, and other forms of research misconduct are not acceptable.

13. Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools
Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and scholarly content of their manuscript. Generative AI tools must not be credited as authors. Any substantial use of AI-assisted tools in preparing the manuscript should be transparently disclosed where relevant.

14. Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass initial editorial screening will normally undergo double-blind peer review by qualified subject experts. Submission does not guarantee acceptance.

15. Revisions
Where revisions are requested, authors should submit a revised manuscript together with a clear response to the reviewers' and editors' comments within the specified period.

16. Final Responsibility
Authors are responsible for the accuracy of all data, quotations, references, ethical declarations, permissions, and other information contained in their submission.
